Overview

Following our conversation on 26 January and your request for a detailed review, this document outlines the key issues affecting WearTwo's store performance and the areas where we can deliver measurable improvements to conversion rates and search visibility.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

Your store has compliance issues that require immediate attention:

Returns policy

Your current returns policy conflicts with UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013:

  • £3.95 processing fee: Unlawful for statutory 14-day returns. Consumers are entitled to full refund including standard delivery costs.
  • "Unworn or unused" requirement: More restrictive than the law allows. Customers can handle and try items as they would in-store.

Note: You've indicated this is being addressed.

Business address missing

Investment: £60

Your registered business address does not appear anywhere on the site - not in the footer, contact page, T&Cs, or returns policy.

Legal issue: Required under Companies Act 2006 and E-commerce Regulations 2002.

SEO issue: Google treats missing business addresses as a scam site signal, which suppresses rankings.

We'll implement your business details consistently across footer, contact page, T&Cs, returns policy, and privacy policy.

Conversion Rate Optimisation

Remove friction and add trust signals to accelerate purchase decisions:

1. Free shipping messaging & pop-up optimisation

Investment: Gratis

Your strongest offer - "Free shipping on your first order" - is buried in the footer whilst the weaker "Free shipping over £150" message dominates the announcement bar. Meanwhile, the sign-up pop-up is overly aggressive and creating friction rather than conversions.

What we'll fix:

  • Move primary free shipping message to announcement bar
  • Reduce pop-up frequency/intrusion
  • Ensure pop-up doesn't alienate returning visitors

2. Size availability display on collection pages

Investment: £120

Customers currently must click through to individual product pages to discover which sizes are in stock. With your limited inventory levels, this creates unnecessary friction and wasted clicks.

We'll display available sizes directly on product tiles in collection pages, with sold-out sizes clearly struck through. This allows shoppers to quickly identify which items are available in their size before clicking through.

Particularly valuable given several items have only 3-4 units remaining across all sizes.

3. Size guides (product templates + HTML tables)

Investment: £120

Your store uses a single product template displaying a generic size guide image showing all six garment types. Customers viewing the HERO top must scan through Hero, Athena, Daphne, Circe, Gaia, Goddess, and Muse measurements to locate the relevant columns.

The problems:

  • Cognitive load at the decision moment
  • Risk of using wrong size chart (Size 1-5 vs S/M/L for Gaia)
  • Image format inaccessible to screen readers, search engines, and AI chatbots
  • Increased returns from sizing errors

We'll create dedicated product templates for each garment style with size guides rendered as HTML tables. A customer viewing GODDESS trousers will see only the Goddess size table.

4. Low stock indicators

Investment: Gratis

Several items have 3-4 units across all sizes. Scarcity signals (e.g. "Only 3 left") accelerate purchase decisions for fence-sitters. With your limited inventory, this becomes particularly valuable.

5. Dynamic dispatch promise

Investment: Gratis

Our dispatch date badge displays real-time shipping promises based on current day, time, and your same-day cut-off. It accounts for bank holidays and non-trading days. This removes ambiguity and reduces pre-purchase enquiries.

Standard pricing: £7.99/month. Included free with full project.

6. Colour variant navigation

Investment: £360

Your current colour variants require customers to navigate away and manually find alternate colours. We'll implement clickable colour swatches (similar to our recent Slidepods implementation) that enable direct navigation between colour variants of the same product. This reduces friction and improves the browsing experience for customers comparing colours.

7. Video content integration

Investment: £240

You have substantial video content on Instagram that isn't being used on product pages. Video on product pages typically increases conversion rates and reduces return rates by setting accurate expectations.

We'll download, optimise, and integrate your existing video content onto relevant product pages.

SEO Foundations

Increase visibility and traffic through improved search engine positioning:

Site title, meta structure & collection page content

Investment: £480

Site title & SEO foundation

Current setup:

  • Site title: "The quiet luxury collection"
  • Subtitle: "Refined dressing made simple"

The problems:

  • No brand name: Search engines and users have no way to identify or remember who you are. The brand name should be in the site title.
  • No product specificity: Neither title tells search engines what you actually sell. "Collection" could be anything from art to furniture.
  • Highly competitive generic terms: "Quiet luxury" is an extremely popular search term dominated by major fashion publications and luxury conglomerates. You're competing against Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, and billion-pound brands for these words.
  • Missing your unique product category: "Jump-sets" is your innovation and potentially ownable search term. It's nowhere in your titles.

The solution:

Your site titles need restructuring to make your brand findable, target the specific product you've created, give you a chance to own "jump-sets" as a search term, and actually describe what you sell.

For example, a site title like:

"WearTwo | Jump-Sets & Coordinating Separates for Women"

  • Includes brand name for findability
  • Introduces your coined term that you can own
  • Describes the actual product category
  • Specifies gender for search clarity

With a subtitle such as:

"Two-piece versatility with the streamlined look of a jumpsuit"

  • Explains the product benefit clearly
  • Includes "jumpsuit" for search connection
  • Describes the actual advantage

You can keep the "quiet luxury" messaging in your body copy, but using it as your primary site title means you're fighting for scraps in an incredibly crowded space whilst ignoring the unique terminology you've created.

Collection page content & meta descriptions

Your collection pages use minimal descriptions that provide neither search engines nor potential customers with adequate information.

Current state: The "Charcoal grey" collection displays "The complete capsule in charcoal grey." (6 words). Similar issues exist across all 16 collections.

The problems:

  • 6-word descriptions provide virtually no search ranking signals
  • Generic or missing meta descriptions reduce click-through rates from search results
  • No context about coordinating system, fabric qualities, or practical benefits
  • Terms like "coordinating separates", "capsule wardrobe", "mix and match clothing", "travel outfit", "jump-set" are absent

Each collection page needs descriptive content that explains what the collection contains, benefit-focused copy that gives searchers a reason to click and buy, strategic inclusion of relevant search terms, and optimised meta descriptions (155-160 characters) for search results.

With a small catalogue, you cannot compete on product breadth - you must compete on how well you describe and position what you offer.

Ongoing Optimisation

Build social proof and recover abandoned sales:

Review request email optimisation

Investment: £30

Your Judge.me review request emails can be optimised to increase response rates and photo/video submissions through strategic messaging about being a small business, how reviews help other shoppers, and specific requests for visual content.

Cart abandonment optimisation

Investment: £30

Your cart recovery email sequence and timing can be optimised. This is one of the highest-ROI interventions in most Shopify stores.

Ongoing Support (Optional)

Monthly retainer: £100/month via standing order

Most clients find ongoing support valuable for maintaining their store's performance as Shopify releases updates, apps require maintenance, or business needs evolve.

What's included:

  • Shopify and app updates
  • Minor content amendments (text changes, image updates, product additions)
  • Technical troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Performance monitoring and optimisation tweaks
  • Quick fixes and adjustments as your business requirements change

What's not included:

Major development work such as complete page redesigns, new feature development, or substantial structural changes. These can be quoted separately as required.

This retainer ensures your store remains technically sound and allows you to make changes without delays or per-incident charges. Support requests are handled on a reasonable-use basis - most clients find the monthly allocation more than sufficient for their ongoing needs.

Total Project Investment

£1,440

Note: Free shipping optimisation, low stock indicators, and dynamic dispatch promise (normally £7.99/month) are included at no charge when accepting the complete project investment. If selecting individual deliverables, these items would be priced separately.

Payment terms
