Project overview

Design and build of a new website for Torbay Civic Society on Squarespace, replacing the existing WordPress site. The new site will serve as the central hub for the society's activities, events, membership, and heritage content, with integrated e-commerce for memberships, leaflet sales, and special event ticketing.

Platform recommendation

We recommend Squarespace with the Core plan. The majority of the site is content and community, with e-commerce added on top. Squarespace handles both well, and the platform is straightforward to manage with the right expertise. LetsGetDigital is a Squarespace Circle Gold Partner.

The ongoing Squarespace platform subscription is payable directly by Torbay Civic Society to Squarespace after the site goes live.

£1,750 commencement fee

Ongoing support

£100/month
Minor content revisions, small layout adjustments, and platform updates. No minimum contract term. One month's notice to cancel. New feature development quoted separately.

Third-party ongoing costs

These are billed directly by Squarespace and are your responsibility after the site goes live:

Squarespace Core plan: £13.60/month (billed annually)
As a LetsGetDigital client, you benefit from an additional 20% off for the first year through our Squarespace Circle Gold partnership, reducing this to approximately £10.88/month for year one.

Squarespace transaction fees: 0% on physical product and ticket sales. A 5% fee applies to digital content and membership transactions, which at your membership volumes amounts to 50p per £10 membership sold.
No additional platform transaction fee on top of standard card processing costs.

* All fees exclude VAT. Major revisions such as complete redesigns are not included in the monthly support and can be quoted separately.

Terms and conditions

Timeline

Estimated completion: 4 to 6 weeks from commencement, subject to timely provision of materials and approval responses.

Payment terms

50% commencement fee due upon acceptance of quote. Remaining 50% due upon site completion and sign-off.

Client responsibilities

Client provides all written content, imagery, and plaque data as a spreadsheet. LetsGetDigital will optimise all imagery supplied for web performance. Client nominates a single point of contact for sign-off decisions. Timely provision of materials is required to meet the estimated timeline.

Third-party services

The Squarespace platform subscription is billed directly by Squarespace. LetsGetDigital is not responsible for third-party billing or service availability.

Acceptance

Acceptance of this quote and authorisation to commence work is confirmed by payment of the 50% commencement fee (£1,750.00) to:
